Meeting Notes:

Speaker: Steve Baran

Our speaker this week was Steve Baran. Totally blind since birth and now retired Steve works to bring hope and encouragement to those who are blind or sight-impaired.

The subject that Steve talked to us about was accomodations being made to the Clipper City Rail Trail to make it accessible to blind and sight-impaired people. This is done using beacons made by Right Hear at various locations along the trail. These talk to the walker through their cell phone giving them information about the trail and directions on navigating it.

50/50 Drawing:

Sue's card was drawn. The deck is still fairly full and the pot was $189.

But, instead of the joker, she drew the queen of clubs.
