Next Meeting: Kittery Community Center 0730 Tuesday January 21. Guest Speaker will be Jessica Parker from "Step Up Parents".
The Meeting this week was a club Business meeting open to all Club members. The meeting was an online, Zoom meeting only, at noon on Wednesday January 15.
Co-President Brad hosted the zoom meeting.
The District Mid-Year Brunch is this coming Saturday, January 19th in Freeport Maine and will include a presentation on Youth programs in the District, including Interact, RYLA Camp, and Rotary Youth Exchange.
At our next meeting we will be collecting coffee to donate to Footprints Food Pantry along with the Kittery Afterhours Club, as part of the rotating community support program. Donations can be brought to Tuesday's meeting. The presentation is at 2 pm on Tuesday (the 21st).
Immediately after the next meeting we will be going to Mitchell School to present a donation of $100 to each 3rd Grade Classroom for the purchase of classroom books.
We decided we will also do our Souper Bowl Soup Collection drive this year and the collection of Salad dressings in the late summer.

The unsold 2025 calendars will be donated to the Mainspring collective for distribution to their families.

Spring Raffle: Gift Card Fundraiser: Pam recommended soliciting in March, sales of chances in April, and selection of winners in May: Andy offered to take the project lead
West Coast Fire support: A proposal was made to contribute up to $1,000 out of savings to support the Rotary response to the fires in Los Angeles area, pending identification of the Rotary Response.
Sue reminded us of the CPR Course being offered through Kittery Adult Education on February 25th as a result of her work to continue the focus on community CPR training the club has been sponsoring the last couple of years.
On February 4th our speaker will be Past District 7780 Governor Mike McGovern. a past Rotary International Director and Vice President of Rotary International, trustee and vice-Chair of the Rotary Foundation chair of the Rotary International Polio Plus Committee since 2014, and global chair of the Rotary Leadership Institute (among other Rotary positions). Mike is the past town manager of Cape Elizabeth,(just up the road apiece) and one of the nicest people you could meet.
