Next Meeting: Community Donations
The meeting this week was the Monthly Board meeting and was held by ZOOM on Wednesday November 13 at 12:30

No Bulletin was issued last week.  Our meeting last week was also online only and featured classification talks by Dave Gooch and PDG (and Army Veteran) Andy Glazier.

Dave joined the Club at the end of 2004 and has been a Board member, club president twice, and District membership Chair once, now Club secretary.

Andy has been a Club partner since 1991, joined officially in 2012, Club president, District Governor, now serving in several District roles and is the current Club treasurer.

We were very pleased to have a guest at that meeting, Atencio Martin, a Kittery native and Traip graduate of 2013, who has returned to the seacoast as a Partner in Two Tugboats  Wealth Management

This week's meeting is our monthly board meeting and covered an agenda provided by Co-president Pauli:

The planned pizza party for the R.W.Traip Interact Club planned for after their clothing swap on November 16th 10-2 at Traip  has been postponed. A large number of students were involved in the Traip Theater Production which will be put on that same day.

Wreathes Across America in Kittery will be December 14th starting with a service at noon.

There is a Service Learning Event on next Wednesday November 20th. The Club will participate, President Pauli and Bob Guay plan on manning a table, we will have information about Rotary and Interact available.

The RYLA's Counselor 's Summit is this Saturday and they are hoping our club can have a representative there but as of the meeting date no one is available.
Assistant Governor Pam items on the agenda. the op item is the identification of a president-Elect (president for the 2025-2026 Rotary year. Training sessions for the District have started.

Proposals for new District Grants need to be identified by march. Pam will send information on the District grants issued this year and recommends we plan on  making a submittal again this year.

Pam asked whether the Club website could include a "Donate Button" - Bob Gray research during the meeting and it can be done. This coincided with discussion on sales of the fundraising calendar. New flyers to promote the calendar will be available and Pam is recommending we emphasize that the $20 cost is a donation to support the service work of the Club. Pam also recommended setting up a table out side the Post Office on a Saturday and any other locations we can think of to promote sales.

Mental Health representative; Pam reports that the District Governor is asking each club to designate a mental health representative. Sue volunteered to be the representative, with the understanding/expectation that communications would be online.

Pam also encouraged Club members to consider putting in to participate in he upcoming spring District Trip to the Philippines, she reminded everyone of what she and Andy had gained on their District trips and reported that the Philippine District they are going to will have their District Conference during the time the team is there.

Co-President Brad reported that the Kittery Rotary Afterhours Club is proposing that the two Kittery Rotary Clubs sponsor a rotating item at Footprints as part of the Footprints new organization sponsoring plan. A different item would be donated by the clubs each month as the Pantry's method of keeping a variety of items available. The Club approved the idea, Dave Sutton is the KRAH representative and Brad offered to be our clubs contact person. There was discussion of maintaining our Salad Dressing Drive for Footprints which dovetails nicely with our gardener's produce contributions and it was felt that the salad dressing drive could be maintained.

Club Treasurer Andy presented the budget, which he sent out to the Club by email. We will be presenting checks to Foot Prints Food Pantry, Fair Tide, Table of Plenty (which is joining the Mainspring project) and the Eben Ezar School for the four students the club is sponsoring. The cost of sponsoring the four students has gone up from $220 each to $250, the club approved the additional $120 expense.

And a Happy Birthday to Bob Guay! (November 15th)
