Our Students of the Month for February 2025 were Maisy Kramer from Shapleigh School and Myles Seckler from Traip Academy. It's always a pleasure to be able to recognize some of Kittery's exceptional students in this way.
Maisy Kramer is in the 6th grade at Shapleigh School This was her first year at Shapleigh, having previously attended Seacoast Waldorf School. Her teacher, Mr. Harrison Lusty noted how quickly Maisy had settled in at Shapleigh and that she is an excellent writer.

Other words that her teachers said characterized Maisy were "inquisitive, respectful and open-minded. Maisy has a dog and a fish as pets, plays the flute, and enjoys horseback riding and snowboarding.
Myles Seckler is a senior at R. W. Traip Academy. Mr Eric Jewett, Myles' math coach, and himself a Traip graduate, spoke to us about Myles.

Myles and Mr. Jewett
Myles is involved in competitve robotics and competitive math. His senior capstone project is to build a drone from scratch. He is a good conversationlist and as being very creative. Myles is known so much for his innovative way of approaching things that staff and students have coined a term for it. When someone approaches something in an especially creative way, they are spoken of as having "Secklerized" it.
Myles is presently looking at several colleges in Canada.
We wish Maisy and Myles all the best as they continue their education.
