The Rotary Clubs of Kittery combined with the support of the Tributary Brewery and friends, neighbors, and family October 24 for the fight to eradicate Polio.
October 24th is world wide Polio day. Polio has crippled individuals around the world. A very successful vaccine was developed in the mid 20th century, but to succeed in conquering the disease, all must be vaccinated, Rotary International Clubs have been leaders in the effort and in October the thousands of clubs around the world were fundraising.

Participating in the effort, with the great support of the Tributary Brewery, the two Kittery Rotary Clubs  (Kittery Rotary Afterhours and the Rotary Club of Kittery) held a Pints for Polio event at the Brewery. The Brewery donated $1 of the price of every drink sold during the event. Open to all, the Clubs were joined by families, friends, and neighbors for a very enjoyable gathering. Each of the Clubs matched the donations and the Gates Foundation will match the total so we contributed a total of $1050.00 to the continuing fight to end polio for the evening.
