Next Meeting: October 1, Kittery Community Center
Our "speakers" today were the 2024 Rotary Leadership Camp Alumnae and (Rotarian) School Superintendent Eric Waddell introducing the new staff members of the Kittery School District.
President Pauli reminded us of the District 7780 Recovery Conference this coming Saturday and that the public is invited. Two Traip Academy students will be meeting her there and we would be glad to have more.
The Calendars should be back from the printers this week and October 6 at 11:30 we will have a kick-off social with the photographer, Nelson Linscott at 1130 at the 2nd Christian Church Brad mentioned that all are invited to attend the 10 am service just before that (they are reputed to have a very fine pastor) ;-)
On October 24 there will be a "Pints for Polio" gathering at the Tributary Brewery, a portion of sales will go toward the effort to end polio, and the event has been a fun social as well.
The presentation by the RYLA campers and the post -meeting washer/dryer visit are covered under Stories. In addition Eric gave us a quick introduction to the Kittery School Department's new staff members for 2024.
A very recognizable Traip Chemistry teacher has a long history with our Club and community.
A long time ago, actually not that long ago, the new Chemistry teacher was a Traip Academy student who did a hat-trick as Traip Academy Rotary Student of the Month before heading to Japan for a long term Rotary Youth Exchange.
