Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), taken from information provided by Sue in her presentation to the Rotary Club of Kittery on July 23, is "an emotional version of acupuncture without the needles" . stimulating pressure points by tapping on them with fingertips. "Tapping"
Rotary Club member Sue Czarnionka has a long career in the medical field and has, in addition to her professional nursing degrees, also studied non-physical healing techniques. In her July 23rd presentation she introduced the Rotary Club to an update on Tapping, Tapping utilizes personal energy techniques to address a large range of emotional and physical problems.
Sue identified a website for "EFT International Free Tapping Manual "that contains descriptions, history , and research websites. There is also a Tapping Solution App, where for a $97 annual membership, provides helpful information and resources.
Sue pointed out the various pressure points and led the club through an exercise to get us all started. The techniques do not require the involvement of a group or another person and the positive statements made while tapping do not need to be audible to others, allowing EFT to be used anywhere or time. It does not require "belief" as the results are purely mechanical.
